Collaboration is essential to protect the Mesoamerican Reef System (MRS). Through strategic alliances with organizations, communities, donors, and individuals committed to marine conservation, we drive transformative projects that strengthen local capacities and promote the sustainable use of marine and coastal resources.
At MAR Fund, we work alongside a diverse network of technical, community, and environmental organizations that operate directly in the field to conserve the Mesoamerican Reef System (MRS). These entities implement frontline projects and enrich our work through the exchange of knowledge, local expertise, and innovative approaches.
We learn from their practices in reef restoration, waste management, protection of marine species, and community strengthening, among others. Together, we develop solutions tailored to each territory, promote the exchange of good practices, and build capacities that go beyond each project. This active collaboration allows us to advance toward a more sustainable, resilient conservation with collective impact.
We are deeply grateful to the foundations, cooperation agencies, and individual donors who trust in MAR Fund and make it possible to fund high-impact initiatives. Thanks to their support, we have achieved tangible impact in the restoration of reefs and mangroves, protection of emblematic marine species, and strengthening of environmental governance in the region. Each contribution drives the resilience of the Mesoamerican Reef and generates lasting benefits for present and future generations.
